Founded with a passion for Italian culture and language, ITAilormade is built upon the idea that learning a new language should be a delightful, enriching experience for everybody. We aim to foster an environment of positivity and friendliness, where learning is stress-free and exhilarating.
I believe that passion fuels progress. My aim is to foster a love for the Italian language and culture, making learning a rewarding and fun-filled experience based on your own interests.
I’m Irene, a dedicated and patient teacher, who brings a wealth of experience and a love for languages. Whether you’re a total beginner or an advanced learner, I can teach in Italian, English, German, or French to meet your needs. I’m currently learning Chinese to better serve a wider range of students.
With a degree in Interpreter and Translator from Bologna University, as well as the University of Siena DITALS qualification, it is my passion to help you to find your voice in Italian by using your own objectives and interests.
My main area of interest it’s the study and focus on different cognitive styles. I like to find out and use the best techniques and strategies to adapt my lesson to the personal needs of each individual student, constant reinforcing their motivation, as essential prerequisite for learning. This kind of approach has led me to deepen my knowledge more and more, with so much dedication and constant effort, through readings and courses about teaching strategies, neurodidactics, memorization, inclusion, special needs, allowing me to gain a solid experience on best teaching practices and methods.

All too often learners attend a language course believing they have improved conversation skills and couldn’t actually neither understand nor be understood out of the school with native speakers. We always analyse language therefore promoting the active use of the language in a variety of real-life situations where Italian may be required. We use a wide range of teaching materials, which are authentic and regularly up-to-date, to ensure that your learning experience is effective and engaging: not only extracts of book, but also newspapers, magazines, poems, essays, soundtracks and/or videos of interviews, songs, movies, post-casts, blogs and finally images such as pictures, paintings, cartoons, ads. Everything that let us speak Italian as a native!

I strongly believe that language and culture are inseparable. Therefore, cultural understanding forms an integral part of learning. It’s like opening a window to a different world.
Learning a foreign language goes far beyond memorizing vocabulary and understanding grammar. It also involves knowledge of the culture of the country where the language is spoken.
Through the study of Italian, we learn how local people live, how they think and what their traditions are. This approach allows us to communicate more effectively and overcome not only language barriers, but also cultural barriers.
The foreign language thus becomes a valuable tool for exploring and understanding the world around us.

In a digital age, learning is no longer confined in a classroom. Online courses provide interactive learning experience being supported by latest technology: beside offline material and books, we’re going to meet on platforms providing virtual classroom environments with features for video, audio, and chat communication.
